Te Whatu Ora may have to be told how to engage meaningfully with iwi Māori partnership boards, say Māori health officials.

The report, from the Māori health directorate and dated 19 April, says IMPBs will have a particular interest in primary and community care, so “it will be important for policy parameters for the commissioning process to align with your emerging policy decisions in primary and community healthcare”.

Without providing clear expectations for how this process will roll out, it says “this work may not be delivered in a way that meets your expectation”.
